What's In Your Name
Re: What's In Your Name
Mine is simple.... my real name is Rob Smith, and didn't want to go with my real name, so I picked JimW.
Just kidding.

Re: What's In Your Name
Mine came from the silly call I developed when I first got my chickens and was treat training them. I actually say, "tick tick tickaaaa" in a high pitched tone. Then I got my first rooster, and called him my little tick-a-roo (yes, silly pet names lol), so called myself Chick-a-roo because it was different! All made up I guess.

Re: What's In Your Name
I've had the name Windwalker or Windwalkingwolf for about 20 years now. The question of what it means comes up regularly. I've thought long and hard about how to explain something so...integral with who I am and yet private, without making people wonder if I'm batsh*t crazy . I'm pretty sure it can't be done LOL! So the best explanation I can give you is this: I picked it at a time when internet stalker paranoia (rolls eyes*) was at its height, and so I picked something radically different from my birth name yet catchy and easy to remember. Also, I find it amusing that people shorten it to 'www'

Hmmm, I couldn't think of a more fitting post for you.WLLady wrote:WLLady=West Lorne Lady. West Lorne is the closest town to where i live. I'm pretty sure I don't really fit the definition of "lady" in the old terms of being polite and all that....lol. I can certainly carry on when i feel like it....so all in all not very imaginative really....LOL. but it's a username i can remember.....

Windwalkingwolf. You're a native tribe member and canoeing amongst our oceans mammals is second nature, much like walking with the wolves in the wind.
Right? Who's batsh*t crazy now?

HAHAHA it IS kind of crazy, because I hate canoes. Boats in general, canoes in particular. More accurately, I hate being on any body of water that I can't see the bottom of. I'd much rather fly, thank you very much!

We have a team of Percherons and my husband's family bred the hitch teams for Dawes Black Horse Brewery many, many years ago! They are great big clowns.Dominion Link wrote:When I was breeding Percherons (on a very small scale), I needed a prefix for name registrations. I went with "Dominion Acres" eg. Dominion Acres Archie is one of the registered Percherons I bred. Dominion is taken from Canada's official title- the Dominion of Canada..... Link is my last name.

Great donkey bomb photo! What are the bloodlines of your Perhcerons?.... Love Percherons and drafts in general. My Wife is a racing QH trainer/ breeder, and that along with a 3 yr old Daughter hasn't left me with much time for my 2 remaining Percherons. When my Daughter gets a bit older, I would love to get back into a little bit of showing at the local fairs with her.WaupoosCowgirl wrote:We have a team of Percherons and my husband's family bred the hitch teams for Dawes Black Horse Brewery many, many years ago! The longer I keep chickens, the more I like ducks.

Dominion Link
Our team is of unknown lineage, I was at an auction and bought them.....then called hubby to please bring the horse trailer! I put the cart before the horse, we didn't even have a harness and neither one of us had ever driven! I have registered Quarter Horses as well mostly reining bred. :wagon:
