First Egg!!!!
Got my first egg today from one of my buff brahma hens!! Can't wait to start hatching!!!

Ok wait. Didn't you just hatch over 1000 eggs last year? (2015) so this is your first year and your over 1000??? I'm confused!!

Yaa I hatched 1000 in (2015).... so it's the first egg for this years hatching season (2016) was hoping to start in December but guess the chickens weren't ready yet,
They just had to wait until the new year!

That Awesome Matt! im finally starting to get some eggs to but not from the birds I actually want to hatch. but either way im happy!
Sandy Matt is a serious chicken guy... and hes got a great set up to do it. my first big expansion of the flock all came from him. I think I bought 18 birds adults pullets and cockerals... most I still have and are my main free range layers.

My calls are doing the same the one has started to make a nest so I'm hoping there will be call duck eggs tomorrow!! got some buff brahma, black mottled d'uccle, and mille fluer d'uccle eggs so far and one little batch in the incubator!
