What's In Your Name

Post by SandyM » Sun Jan 10, 2016 9:31 am

I've been curious for quite some time about user names on this forum. There are definitely some interesting ones and some very simple ones, like mine.

I would love to know the story behind your unique user name. Basically if it isn't your name, like mine, SandyM, TomK, or Ross and you're up for devulging your inside scoop, let's have it.

Some of particular interest to me are
Killer Bunny
SkinnyRooster
BaronRenfrew (?)
Wind Walking Wolf
Dominon Link
WLLady
Wapouscowgirl
Madison174 and many others.

I remember why Al is The Gawd and I know why Robbie is Robbie and the reasoning behind GoatGirl35...but maybe others don't recall or weren't around for it, so if you're willing, cough it up!!

Mine is simple. Sandy is my name and the M is the first letter of my last name.

Looking forward to hearing some of these translations!!

WLLady=West Lorne Lady. West Lorne is the closest town to where i live. I'm pretty sure I don't really fit the definition of "lady" in the old terms of being polite and all that....lol. I can certainly carry on when i feel like it....so all in all not very imaginative really....LOL. but it's a username i can remember.....

Got really irritated when Microsoft insisted on a company name for a piece of software. Hubby just went Oh **** and put in killer bunny. For some reason it stuck with our friends too!

My dad is from Germany, and here he always worked two or three jobs and bought real estate back when it was cheap. I.e. Home place which I now own is 200 acres and he bought it in 1972 for $23,000. He has another 150 acres of farmland and 250 acre "recreation property" (who has time for that?) with forest and lakes. When all sold it could buy one house in Germany, but to them 200 acres makes him a Baron. And i my first email account could be Bert3311 or something novel (we live near Renfrew) so it was baronrenfrew and it stuck as well.

Not to mention my chest puffs out when someone calls me Baron.
