Managed to find time yesterday afternoon and into the evening ( of course ) to boil some sap...got two litres out of my basic two roasting pan setup...lol...tried to see if the second batch (left jar ) could thicken up a bit but I haven't managed it, all i got was a darker colour...have to talk to the old timers around here to see what the trick is...the taste is fantastic though...OMG!!!...sap is running although slowly , this week should be much better....

Looks good!! I also prefer the darker thicker stuff. Much more flavour and sticks to the pancakes better!!

Kimchick..it sure is...tomorrow is supposed to be crazy cold so I for sure won't be standing around tending the fire..lol..Thursday looks real nice...sap has been flowing well
