A few of my feathered and furry friends

Honestly I just keep them all as an art piece.. the poecilotheria Metallica are quite venomous so I don't even attempt to hold them.. however I will clean their cages with them just sitting in the corner.. they are use to me moving around them and have never threatened me.. BUT! My socotra island blue baboon everytime I go near her cage she tries to attack me through the glass!

Iv only ever had rose hairs. I used to be a reptile breeder another lifetime ago... kept n bred all kinds of animals, wish I still had some but now a days if "I cant eat it, I dont need it!" At least thats what I keep telling myself. :-)
Haha! This is true! She is a green bottle blue.. I actually have 3 poecilotheria Metallica.. which are blue and yellow! And males are lavender colour... I'll add some pics of them also! I am breeding them! Yeah I need a place to show off all my pretty animals! Cause I don't let anyone in the barn to see them because of bio security... sucks not being able to show off your animals!
You have come to the right place, we provide bio security and a large group of people drooling over all your beauties!
Who would think one could look at a giant hairy spider and say wow, that is just stunningly beautiful ?
Thanks for posting!

Ya they really are beautiful eh! Yup the baboon turantulas are frekin nuts! They will darn near kill themselves trying to get through the glass. A long time ago I worked for superpet as the manager of the reptile dept. I didnt like the company but loved my job. I brought in all kinds of cool spiders for sale and I only brought in baboons if someone wanted them.

When you end up with poecilotheria Metallica spiderlings I would love to get a couple off of you!

Thanks for sharing, it brings back lots of great memories. My last spider was a flame rose hair. Rose hairs are the most docile, thats why I always kept them and the flame morph is orange. She was very pretty. I used to put her in my mouth and let her crawl out which would really suprise the crap out of people! :-) LOL she sadly got eaten by a cricket when she went in to a molt. I was so furious and instantly fed it to a chameleon.

Take it easy!

She was maybe a couple years old, it was quite a while ago, it would have been her adult moult. I didnt realize right away that she was going into a moult but when I did I inspected her cage for crickets and didnt find anything or hear anything. When she was taking to long to complete the moult I had a closer look and she was dead. I picked her up and a female cricket jumped out of her abdomen. All these old pics are on a hard drive in my old computer that dosent work anymore, I need to pull it out and plug it into my desktop thats not hooked up and save those pics! Iv had hundreds of creepy crawlies over the years.

Hahahahahaha I lost my first tarantula for 3 weeks as a teen in my parent house. My sister found it one day crawling into the kitchen. Thats how my mom found out that I had one, although I had it for 2 years prior. LOL.

Best of luck to you with the breeding! I know it's very tricky, especially getting the egg sack from her!
