Well a wet day out there today. Decided not to go to the Sarnia show as much as I wanted to go, not sure the knee is up for a 4 hour drive round trip. Have lots to do around here and now that it's mild will get hubby to help me clean out a couple pens.

BVF if you want another EO rooster I have an older fella (will be 3 this summer) sweet boy not a mean bone in him. I am switching him out for a younger fellow that I hatched last Summer. I was going to keep him regardless because he is so nice but you are welcome to have him if you would like. Not sure if you got one from WWLady??

Good morning all!! Its foggy/raining. Ugh. Crap weather. Glad I'm not driving the bus. Hubby was out salting last night from 11pm to 3:30am.

Thanks for the offer FRF... but I'm getting WLLady's bunch.... she needs to downsize before the surgery, and I will make us both more kids, lol. But.. if thats not successful for any reason, we all know where to go for more eggs/stock!! lol.

So... I guess its time to go to the barn. The white stuff is not gone yet, I thought for sure, the rain would have taken care of that. It looks slipperyer than ever! lol.

morning all!

wow, running late today! surprisingly feeling better than i was yesterday....happily! maybe it's working in a closed building with bottled air that makes me feel like i have a cold by the end of the week. yuck. i much prefer outside and fresher air. hope the sarnia show is a good one! i'm still going to try to run down, but i have to get to the feed store first....they're not open on sunday. so if i hadn't slept in...um....yeah.

Yes, BVF-you have a trio, nope, quad coming your way i think....why can i never remember? i think there's 3 marraduna and one mille fleur sport and the marraduna boy...so all the marraduna are coming to you in the downsize. they're escape artists, but friendly ones. he does try to feed you shavings, and does the whole try to sweep you away with his wing down courtship dance...let him down easy....he doesn't quite get that we aren't "his" girls. BOSS helps LOL. and the leghorns are probably going to head to clawton....in exchange for dark cornish,

not a spot of white left on the ground here. i'm going to try letting out the girls today, see if they'll come out. yesterday only 2 ventured out, and both tried to spend the night in the horse stall in the barn because they didn't want to walk back to the coop in the rain. i relocated them, and they were happily talking away about their adventures with the other girls when i put them in for the night. bunch of wusses.
Hubby got a new weather station so that's going up today....yay! and looks like it runs on an app on the phone which means i might get a home page for the farm! yay! we've had a page for a while, that shows our weather data on it, but i've wanted to put up a farm homepage for a while....with more than just the farm stuff, links to our other insanities too (hubby's businesses).

not sure if you all noticed, but there should be a link to the map where we can put ourselves on. there's a similar thing on alberta chickens....we really liked it. please pick the town closest to you, or (i like this one) your closest OPP detachment...we don't want to advertise where you actually live in case someone decides they really like your new boat, tractor, car, truck whatever and viola there you are. we can't make the map private to members only, we've tried. so protect yourselves....but close is good, and that might also help with the picnic ideas, i think you'll all be surprised how many of you are from out east, and how few are from the north and west....lol.

alright. must find a travel mug for caffeine, and go get my feed! i do want to putter down to the show!

Great day at Sarnia show today , best bldg , good bunch a folks running . Even found a excellent replacement judge for chickens when at last minute original judge took sick . Saw Al's new BCF , Al said something bout keeping him in his room over night . Now I know Lizzie's just a little bit of a thing but Al 3 in one bunk is a little crowded ain't it , specially when ones got long toe nails . Haha . Picked up 4 Jacobin pigeons at show I'll get pics tomorrow . Yep gonna set Als kids up with pigeons in spring . Had um cooin away at um at show .Shows over now it can snow . Luck
PS good to meet & greet a whack a folks from PSO / PTO also guess the good weather brought out a lot of old time Sarnia club members to catch up on old times . Birds are great but the folks are better .
