Good Morning!

Good morning!
Jim that is indeed impressive, obviously a great effort has gone in to the decorating, something like that couldn't happen by accident ;)
Seriously crappy morning here, encased in an Ice / Slush combo, decided to skip Yoga and hope it warms up during the day to melt my giant ice ball of a truck.
Playing the musical Roosters in the barn, which brought up Bluie the Ameraucana in to the hayloft temporarily, woke us up at 4 AM apparently thinks because he is now the "highest" he is the lead in the morning cacophony and wanted to get a head start.;)
Have a safe one!

Good morning!! Back to summer weather, rain, 11C. No coat to the barn today. Nice, really. But by Friday/Sat.. back down to reality. -3...-4C.

Called the lawyer to set up an appointment.... was really hoping for today, seeing as how its raining... but of course, no go. AND hes retired. Should really update the will. As it stands right now, Carrie 'gets' David and Melissa to raise.. if something did happen back then.... and this year, THEY will be 28 and 26! Carrie will be 40 this year!! How did the kids get so old?????????? Scary stuff.

The guy who was set up to be executor is ancient, and doesn't need to be anymore. Thinking Gary's oldest two, Carrie and Jeremy can handle it all. In the event WE both go together, everything is going to be thrown at them to decide. Won't matter to me at that point anymore, lol.

Between the both of us... theres money to pay off FCC... then 'go wild', lol.

Melissa just texted me... 'doing'. Wonder where she wants to go. Up for it I guess. Too wet to do anything this morning outside. I REALLY could be going thru stuff, and taking it to Value Village, or somewhere. I already have a box of books in the way.

Started stacking a huge pile of split wood we did on Sunday. I thought I did a lot, while Gary went to a workshop for chemicals/fertilizers... stuff. I worked right out of coming from chores, til 11:45am, and he thought I would have done more. I could only do ONE piece at a time, as I had built a layer low enough to climb on, and stack to the ceiling of the row beyond it. It does take awhile to do it that way.

Well, Melissa is bored. Wonder what we will come up with, lol.

Have a great day!

Morning everyone!! Windy windy windy here. And thunderstorms this morning. Looks like more rain coming through in the next little while judging by how dark its getting in the west.
Not much new....was expecting a call from my insurance but ended up getting a letter in the mail saying we got your application, expect a phone call lol. So guess i am still expecting a phone call. Go figure.
Trees are really waking up down here. The bush now has that red haze along the tops. Still feels early. Supposed to get cold again in a few days. Really hope it doesnt hurt the fruit trees again this year. Started collecting for my first hatch of the season. Hopefully i will get the birds i want in the first go round lol. Need to replace some boys this year and mix a couple of lines, switch boys and girls. I am hopeful that this may be the final generation of rhodebars and welbars...one can always hope!!! Still waiting on my turkeys to start laying!! Slackers. Was going to let the turkeys out today but not in this wind!
Seems like a good day to catch up on some reading. And napping. Lol had some thunderstorms last night and our one dog is terrified and was up and down all night.
hope everyone has a great day

Morning all! I am not even going to try and catch up on this thread, been away from the forum for awhile. Rainy and muddy here today...should have got the car of the lawn last night! Thank goodness we took advantage of the cold weekend weather and hubby got 30 acres of oats planted! We frost seed every year we can...but this was touch and go! Starting to get organized on the chicken breeding front..busy sewing up a storm and looking through seed catalogues ;)

Clear and sunny here... OK a few clouds and breezy, but nicer than yesterday.
The chickies are enjoying the sunshine!

Breezy?!?!? Holy crap we are blowing away down here!! Wind warning and gusts to 90km/hr. Great day to have queen bed delivered lol. At least i am not trying to get that in from the truck when it arrives. Hope we dont blow away!! The house is shaking. Let the cat out and she ran around to the door in the lee of the house and wanted in. Dont think the birds will be let out to their pens today.

Yup the same crazy 90km/h wind here. Heck it was blowing me around just taking the garbage out. I wouldnt want to be moving a bed! LOL at least there are delivery guys that can deal with that. Just stay out of their way Kathy!

Bright blue sky, it looks beautiful out, but it sounds like a constant jet engine. Maybe its the turbines but they are north of Walaceburg. I can see them though, spinning like crazy! Im suprised they can withstand this wind.

Have a great day and dont blow away! Haha

morning!
Windy here too, but not too bad.
After watching the blizzard in the prairies on TV last night , waking up to sunny blue skies and listening to geese passing overhead felt like I was on holidays :)
Lap top refused to search for anything yesterday until I updated, so dragged myself to the library for a super fast internet and it will still take 45 minutes, glad I brought my I Pad
Have a safe one,

Windy here too. Got the chickens out early because I think it's supposed to get windier and colder as the day progresses. The last of my 10 month old Cochin girls finally laid her first egg yesterday. Those Cochins are so calm, cool and collected lol. She just did her business and hopped out of the nesting box like she had done that 1000 times before. Now everyones laying except 2 old girls (one barred rock and one oegb) Strangely tho my first Cochin to lay laid 2 eggs in 3 days and now hasn't laid in over a week. She seems fine so just working bugs out I guess. I've been ill with something. Headache...Upset stomache (but only when I eat). Took me a few days to realize I was down with something because I've felt so off since starting the champix prescription. Theres a big part of me wants to stop taking that but I promised myself I'd finish it off. 4 more weeks of pills. I'm beginning to think that's what's making everything taste horrible to me. That or everyone lied about food tasting so much better after you quit smoking! Even water doesn't taste right. Oh well. New reality so just need to accept and move on and if it changes when I stop that med then awesome. At least it's kept me from packing too much weight on!
