I have raised Silver laced, Columbian, Blue and White Wyandottes and the only variety that had an unpleasant tempreamant were the Whites, they were hatchery bird and obviously not "All Wyandottes", and had a very short life here.
The rest of them without fail, good laid back birds and although friendly, by the time they are 4-5 month old the are busy working birds and don't really have time for petting and making friends with people and the cockerels once they realize that's what they are will seldom take a treat from hand and mostly just drop it for the hens.
The last three cockerels I was growing out, at 7 month have worked out a system, the dominant one decided he was a boss and the two smaller ones are hens, so he was giving them treats and showing them where to lay the eggs.

That's what I thought, but they were getting just a bit too comfortable there so they are no longer together and the boss has got 3 hens to view from a distance to remind him of the job he has been hired for
