Good Morning!
I had a 7 yr old who still popped out a couple of eggs a week in the spring.
Good to see you back but sorry about your FIL.
Not sure but I think SLWs lay light brown. My other dottes always have.

Good Morning!
KB is right, all Wyandottes lay "tinted" light beige eggs.
Not that I want to discourage incubator use :)

Good Morning!
hayladee....i'm sorry to hear about your troubles, and your dad in law. 'dottes lay a very lightly tinted beige egg. if you keep them away from white ones, and put them with darker brown ones they will probably look pretty close to white (aiding and abetting).
my daffodils have flower heads on them, and will probably bloom in a week or so if the weather keeps up, they're easily 8 inches tall. my muscari are coming up and the crocuses are going to bloom before the bulbs i am forcing in the house. go figure.
nice to see some sun today though.
time for chores here for me.....

Gill.......stop that, first robins, then daffodils, I am sure my daffodils and garlic are coming up, and if there wasn't two feet of snow on top, I am sure I could see them tooKillerbunny wrote:QR_BBPOST OK so does anyone else have garlic and tulips coming up already? Yikes!

Good Morning!
WOW we had one heck of a storm last night. thunder n lightening like crazy, shook the house. it looks like a mini twister ripped through here. busting the basket ball net backboard in half, throwing my pile of fence sections all over, kids toys everywhere. I havent made it out to do a walk around yet, I hope thats it. the birds arnt all over the place so I guess the coops held up. that was the most powerful storm here yet and well, there were no warnings with this one for our area.
good day all!

Wow Al, that sounds a bit scary, glad no one got hurt.
Very foggy here this morning, can't see further then 100 feet, wouldn't want to be driving in it.
Have a safe one!

Yep lots a lightning & thunder & rain last night . Tornado watch on FB had it marked in red on their forecast . We had a big crash even dog jumped & a large blue circle light rolled past front window . Took out 1 old style tv not even on . Walls rattle knew it was close . Donna was out for her AM feeding & dog walk & bout 200 ft behind house in bush a tree had actually exploded . She brought me in a pc of shrapnel . Smells like fresh cut wood out there . Lol
Will get pics later when I get out . Luck
