Good Morning!
It sure doesn't feel like February. I looked up on NASA"s site. Yup it's February.
It's thundering with a river of rain flowing down my driveway.

Not quite sure , not a very large bird and I only got one picture, so not much to go on.Killerbunny wrote:QR_BBPOST Wow OC is that a barred owl? We have several around her also a grey owl which cleans up rodents by the old railway tracks
Freaky thunder storm right over us, one lightening after another, dog just left for the basement, apparently way too loud here.

Good Morning!
I was wondering if it was a barn owl, I have actually never seen one before, didn't look big enough to take on a chicken anyway.WLLady wrote:QR_BBPOST Looks like either a little barred or a barn owl....barred are bigger than barn owls....very nice to see!

Kathy, dont lean on any metal railing, just in case.
The dog is back up, lying under my chair, now I can't go to bed until the storm moves on.

Good Morning!
Just got back from Ottawa. Snow geese in several of the fields on the way up and huge flocks of Canadas all over. Lots of turkeys too!

Good Morning!
It's spring...the timberwolves are back and sounds like they are preparing the den for another litter this year. Last litter was three years ago, the den is about 500 feet from my house. It gets scary when they have pups back there, lol! The howling at mealtimes is quite intense, the sound of their prey screaming even more so. We have lived here for 6 years and I had never seen them, just hear them. But this fall I saw one of them. A big black wolf that was built like goliath. They don't look like they do in pictures...they look much more frightening and muscular in real life. This one was about twice the size of a large german shepherd.
