I use Red Lake as well.... reminds me I need to go get some more.

Although. Admittedly I'm a bit tainted with DE right now. My guys it 5+ days a week in their feed, yet I have a round worm found in a poop.

When an animal picks up/ gets worms & it is killed it has to go somewhere & that's outside in its crap . DE doesn't stop um from getting worms it kills um when they do & that from here looks like it did its job . It's called deworming .

Except worms are picked up as eggs, and mature in the gut, so that one's been hanging out for quite some time :/

To be honest ... I give more DE than is recommended. A good double dose because we are so wet and soggy here I worry about parasites. If picked up as an egg it managed to survive till adulthood cause that's one big slurp of a noodle! It was dead mind you ... I think. I hope.

Dead is good . I get my DE from corn storage company in my own pail . Never seen a recommended dose . When I use I make sure feed is covered /white & let um eat .
