Thank you for your input, nothing more valuable and valued then experience, will always check from now on.modern17 wrote:QR_BBPOST Not sure about all the dates that were laid out in the initial post.. One thing I did learn from several of my mentors growing up in this poultry world.. I pay close attention to when there will be a full moon.. I never set eggs that will hatch on a full moon.. in fact I will leave them 2-3 days prior to setting to go around hatching on a full moon. I traditionally set on sundays and hatch sundays... but some seasons I must move a few settings to avoid this ... What happens.. slow hatch , sticky hatches.. and unthrifty chicks.. not sure why .. but have proved it several times.. wives tale .. maybe .. but I am a believer.

I could probably use a good smiting. I cannot get in the barn to feed them without plowing a few dozen out of the way :/Ontario Chick wrote:QR_BBPOSTYup, I am watching too, we may have to come in and smite you...Killerbunny wrote:QR_BBPOST Jan- as a friend - please reread your planning etc post re hoarding. We don't want to have to stage an intervention!
Some birds have to leave, one way or anotherbefore any new ones are hatched.................. just saying :)
