Thanks Al,

I saw it once but never saved the link so that is helpful.

Once my start breeding this Spring I can set you up with some for sure. The price of Ayam cemani will be quite reasonable this year.

:beer2: I read everything on that webpage, a very interesting breed thats not all that easy to produce the best birds... I totally understand why they command that high price and am really glad that your working with them.

Yes I know the person, I have bought and sold birds with her several times, very nice person. She is selling Svart honas, Swedish Black chickens, that she got from a breeder in Newfoundland.

I have Svart honas as well from the same breeder, plus I have the Indonesian Black chickens, Ayam cemani in the pctures. I will hopefully be selling both black chicken breeds come Spring, mine are not laying yet as I do not provide artificial lighting or heat, I like to condition my birds to Canadian weather as much as possible. If you are interested in black chickens let me know, I will give best price around. :)

JimW

Thanks for the offer Jim, unfortunately at this time my plans are up in the air for me, so I will admire your pictures for now.

Lovely @JimW. However it would be so much better with ducks!!! Which you'll learn soon enough.

Interestingly, last spring and summer I had some EE pullets that were black comb and wattles but jet black, like your Ayam cemani, but a ring of red in their eyes. Very unique looking young ladies.

Cheers
