I put these eggs in a pot to be hard boiled January 14th. All but one stood up with the large end sticking out of the water. They were from the store, and had a best before date of February 14th. In a short time the standing ones laid down. I thought maybe they were really old, but boiled them anyway. When I peeled them they didn't have a large air cell like I expected, and there was nothing wrong with them. Weird.
