The Year of the Rooster
The Year of the Rooster
According to the chart in my book, the Chinese year started January 27, 1990 and ended February 14, 1991. Where did you get the March start date from?

The Year of the Rooster
I don't know where I found that, but can't seem to find it again! Every site I pulled up now gives the January date, so horse it is. Not that it matters to me whether Pete is a horse, snake, caterpillar or Cerberus the three headed dog-- not one of the personality profiles I've read so far are accurate except in the most vague sense. To me, horoscopes are what I read at the end of the day to find out how it went LOL!

The Year of the Rooster
Well then I am not a rooster! If you can even get me to a social gathering you're one step ahead of anyone else.Shnookie wrote:QR_BBPOSTI have a book about Feng Shui that has a Chinese Animals Table. For each year there is an animal and an element (water in your case, fire in my case). The elements also relate to your personality.thegawd wrote:QR_BBPOST im a water dog. im not sure if thats the amphibian or a dog that likes to swim. HAHAHA either way apparently im not compatible with roosters or something.
The book says this about The Rooster.
"The Rooster is a very sociable creature. Roosters shine in situations where they are able to be the centre of attention. If a Rooster is present, everyone will be aware of the fact because no Rooster can ever take a back seat at a social gathering. They are dignified, confident and extremely strong-willed, yet they may have a negative streak. They excel in arguments and debates. Incapable of underhandedness, Roosters lay all their cards on the table and do not spare others' feelings in their quest to do the right thing. They never weary of getting to the bottom of a problem and are perfectionists in all that they do. Roosters can usually be won over by flattery. Full of energy, Roosters are brave, but they hate criticism and can be puritanical in their approach to life."
This description doesn't fit me. Maybe it only applies if you are Chinese. :) I'm a Cancer. The description for that sign fits me really well.
And when I am there I am the type to sit, observe and crack the odd smart ass comment.
Maybe I'm just a cockerel
