Well....... I came up with that gas blender idea out at camp one day... were off grid n I wanted to cut the generator out of the equation.
I got a bit upset when I saw it in the special Canadian Tire catalogue, especially at how much it was listed for!
and the bait crisper is a GREAT idea!!! LOL does this make me a redneck? yup that n everything else HAHAHAHA but thats ok with me.
as a kid my mom made me lable everything I put in the fridge.... got tired of pulling out my critters food thinking it was something else. LOL.

My dad goes to auction sales, and he buys chairs. They're wood and those ones had no nails only glue. Our family is full of "hefty" guys, and a lot of the "spindle" wooden chairs we have are mass produced from the 1970's so not valuable. We do have nice antique chairs that we had reglued and it costs as much to redo as buying more. I tell him to buy "solid and durable chairs" that have a single arm of wood from floor to shoulder, but he doesn't buy many of those. There's one "solid type" in the background of the top pic.
They left for Florida on Sunday so time for some "interior changes".

Baron if you are ever in the Oro area (between Barrie and Orillia) there's a guy that reclaims barns and his entire yard/property is filled with not just barn board and beams and old equipment but also all the old furniture and tools he drags out of the barns...Stuff that's been stored for years. Dudes a wee bit "odd" but I could spend a week digging through everything he has tucked away. Last time I was there he had 2 trailers full of old chairs, the odd table and old barn windows...Big weakness of mine! Does that make me a redneck? Lol
He's a cash only operation and only advertises on Kijiji. But based on what I have seen he does ok for himself.

Oh yeah...I'll have to check that. I've been to a couple of barn guys, one north of Kingston (lots of old Loyalist stuff) and one near Joyceville is mostly metal stuff (and they do woodstove repairs). I also know a few places near Quebec City like that.
A lot of the old stuff is valuable or could be with a bit of elbow grease. I like repurposing old stuff. Right now we have a pine Ikea tv cabinet I might make into a bird cage. I thought about selling it but there's 5 the same for sale in Ottawa as new tv's don't need so big a stand.
What? You have a farm animal in your basement? You might be a redneck.

Lol I have a farm animal in my living room !
I've been to a few "reclaiming" places and they often want an arm and a leg for stuff. This guy's main motive is reduce, reuse, recycle and he sees treasures and value in what many see as junk. So his pricing is extremely reasonable. I came home with 5 barn window frames, 2 chairs I converted to planters and about 100 feet of barn board and something I have no clue what it is but I loved it lol. Think I spent $130
Anybody know what this is?
