The toque thing is sure a good idea. I'm going to keep it in mind. I don't have mops handy, but I do have toques. Your chickie is sure cute. Looks like you have room for some more in that brooder. :)

I was thinking a chicken tea cozy would work well too...seems to me there are probably a few of those floating around many houses and thrift shops!

Al-try feather sexing. Sometimes works with the ees....my bet is a boy because of black on wings...those tend to more brown earth colour in girls....but first the wings are closed so harder to see and second i am not sure i should be trusted on advice quite yet lol

Bonus is if it is a boy both the lines that went into that bird are a good finished size for eating by 22-24 weeks

HAHAHHA thanks ladies! I wouldnt say she has black on her wings, its like a tan and light brown. and I believe in the power of positive thinking so shes a she until she crows, and she better be a she.

heres a couple pics I just took. the tucan works perfectly but it sure is hard to get a pic of her in it. she hasnt been crying at all. thank goodness!!!
