Anybody remember the winter after Mt. St. Helens erupted? -50 several times. Frostbite on your face in less than 15 minutes if it wasn't covered. School still turfed us outdoors for recess. My fingers and toes were always in a state of agony, either from freezing or the worse pain of thawing. I think that was probably the beginning of my hate-hate relationship with winter lol

ok cool. hoping for safe travels! and have a great day Ross. im not blowing nothing. I lost the masterlink on the chain of the blower... what I need is a 3 link master link. they gotta make those for when the chain is to big and then too small when you remove a link... I need to remove half a link for crying out loud! hmmm

edit... ahhh ha! what I need is an offset link! its only half a link. perfect! now I need to find one.

I had forgotten about that! You're right it was super cold...I remember sneaking barn cats into the house because dad had shipped all the cows out and the barn was empty and bitterly cold.

What a difference a year makes

Still terrible north of Guelph. All of the roads around our house were closed on Friday. Drove home last night at midnight across the east end of Guelph and the usual 10 minute drive took me 40 minutes. Only saw a half dozen other cars on the road. Couldn't quite tell where the road was once I hit the country.

I'm dreaming of palm trees and sand. Instead I'm off to the coop to clean up!

What's the damage for a new (unstretched) chain?

i havent looked into that yet but it is probably why it dosent fit anymore. that and the original bearings are still on it... its a Case 108, built between 73 & 87, im thinking mine is closer to 73 LOL. when I go into check them out, prolly on Monday I'll bring the chain with me of course and compare it to a new one.
