Good Morning!
Good evening!! Yes, road trip to Kathy and Martins.... and as soon as I got thru the door, I got to work, lol. Been sitting for about 2 hours driving ! BIG house. It was fun. Nice to visit again!! And, if you need me again, give a hollar. I will always try my best!
Got home and it rained on the way home, and I was thinking that my vehicle would be washed for oil spraying. Nope. I ended up washing. Probably washed it too well. Gobs of slabs of greasy dirty crap came off... probaby years of oiling and dirt.... but I hope its dry for tomorrow. It pizzled during the day, so hes coming in the morning. Hopefully he gets all 6 vehicles done. Daves 2, Jeremy's 2 and our 2. The front of the shed on the pavement is all scraped and swept.. ready.
Babysat this after noon (got home at noon), while Dave played in the woodshop. I can't be gone long around here... I'm in such a demand, lol. He was fine outside, while Dave was trying to tinker, but you can't leave a nearly turned 4 year old unattended for long on a farm. He came in to go to the bathroom, and I asked him if he told his dad where he was going, he said No... as Dave came flying in, asking if Sawyer was inside. I just put a movie on Netflix, got him some snacks... and he was happy curled up on the couch. He was getting cold being outside by this time anyhow.
Well, hot bath time, and book... and probably will fall right asleep, lol. Its already past my bedtime!
And thanks Al... LOL.

Good Morning!
I spent the afternoon in the bush, I didnt see any deer but I did see about 28 turkeys! and then right before last light 3 turkeys flew in from about 150 yards away right into the trees above me! that was one of the coolest things I've ever seen out in nature. I didnt see them coming otherwise inwould have got it on tape. one of them flew over into a dead tree and knocked it down! SCARED THE CRAP RIGHT OUT OF ME! I was in my ground blind but I always place it in a spot where there are no dead trees or widow makers. I was taking a video just as it happened but the audio quality is horrible and awfully annoying. I got lots of pics of the turkeys while they were crossing the field. where the heck were they all in the spring when the season was open and I had a tag?!!!!! wrong season I guess. LOL. I hope they make those proposed reg changes to the turkey seasons, there are lots of them out there now! where the heck are all the deer anyways? Monday shotgun season opens again and they'll have another weeks break from me back there. anyways have a good night all!

Good Morning!
Last of the chickens went to their home yesterday-a wee wheaten marans boy for bvf and the last 6 to another friend just east of me. Her flock is doing better now that she treated for cocci-she mixed 3 flocks without quarantining anyone...and some were older hatchery birds and they were totally gross and brought it in. So everyone got treated and she only lost 2 birds. One older bird that brought it in and was already badly dehydrated and one of the smallest youngsters. Glad we caught it fast.
Having a totally lazy day...still in my PJs at 1. Guess i should get going. Need to swim and then finish up laundry and plant the little fruit tree sapling thingies that i set to root this spring...not sure that they are doing anything. But will put them into the garden for the winter and see if they come back in the spring or not. Have some finish work around the pool to do.and a wee bit of cleaning in the bedroom...and the dog run needs cleaning and 3 nesting boxes need making.
Still in awe of bvfs work!!!
Hmmmm looks like hay moving too for the horses today or tomorrow.
Have a great one folks

Good Morning!
Good morning,
Winter wonderland here, like everybody else this end of the province, got way more snow then predicted,
there was a mad rush yesterday, mucked out 1/2 quonset, put down new bale of straw and closed up a gap between wall and quonset that let snow in, this morning very proud of my industrial design, no snow on the inside.
dog somewhat bemused by the latest development.. lets face it, it's pretty, just need to remember it when we shovel it

Oh and I named one of the roosters, my bad. Not sure how it happened but I just started calling him Ozzie the Ostrich because he's so gangly!

Good Morning!
10 days of amprolium (5 days at 0.024% and 5 days at 0.012%) and off 5 days. If symptoms return during that 5 days repeat treatment for 10 days at 0.024%. At least this is what my vet recommended and it worked beautifully in 10 days.
