"Chicken on the brain"
So the daylight gets short, November and December is cloudy, rain sleet and snow; the birds don't lay much and we spend time sittin by the wood stove to stay warm.
And I spend time poking around Kijiji (and lookin at catalogues) lookin at what folks are sellin'...and I speak fast..."i'll take that" so instead of gettin' rid of birds...somehow I end up with more!
Same with incubators!
"Chicken on the brain" I tell ya!

So I understand what you are saying, but it seems like you're saying it, as if it's a bad thing, lolol. I do the same thing all the time, I'm always glad when someone else buys them because then I can't. I tell people it's an addiction, we laugh and laugh and then I say with a straight face "sadly I'm not kidding". Did you see the add for the four Ameraucanas, I was watching those lol, took a long time to sell them, I was going to make my move this weekend but "whew" someone beat me to it.baronrenfrew wrote:QR_BBPOST So the daylight gets short, November and December is cloudy, rain sleet and snow; the birds don't lay much and we spend time sittin by the wood stove to stay warm.

Haha Baron I love it!!!!
I have actually downsized, rehomed about 20 birds this fall. I got rid of all my breeds of hens I was keeping just for eggs and not breeding, so now only keeping the breeds I will be breeding. Plus rehomed my guinea fowl, but will get more in the spring.
