GREAt BIG HUGS Kathy! Stay Strong! We know that feeling all to well... were going through the same thing with Lizzies Mom. the cancer has spread throughout her entire body, she had a hip replaced due to it but not before it splintered into pieces :(

A quick update on the eggs in the incubator.... all the quail eggs are infertile, it must be the time of year and because they are not under any lights.... ya nothing to do with the extended period in the fridge. ;-)

BUT all 6 chicken eggs that Kathy gave the kids are fertile and growing well!!! They are so excited about that!!!!!

I hope everyone has a great day and weekend!!!

hey guys, yeah, it's okay...in a way....he's decided to try 2 rounds - so 2 months of chemo and then reevaluate. while it would be amazing if we could all live forever, there's something to be said for quality of life. it's been a soul searching time for sure, with another friend just starting chemo too, and my dad, and my back surgery coming up....i actually feel bad that i have to get my back fixed! it's nothing like cancer!!! gah! but hate that i can't travel right now to go and help them (let alone what i could do to help given that i can't really lift, carry, stand too long, walk lol. hm. weird feeling to have my hands tied that way.) oh well, we will all keep motoring through! like always! it's only about 2 weeks now to my surgery, and i think BVF is on her way down today to spend a bit of time-have turkey pens to clean, the wire to finish outside, some trees sprouts to get sunk into the garden, the asparagus tops to cut down, and a house to clean up! and hopefully some coffee and tea to drink too!

Al! so glad the eggs are doing something! whoohoo! sorry the quail are slackers LOL. but i imagine being more "wild" than chickens that they are more tied to the seasons...like turkeys....hopefully in the spring! Hope the chickens hatch well! it's only about 2 weeks now....keep up posted!

I had a long chat with Lizzie when you guys were down. Sure wish her back issues get solved soon too! and just horrible about her mom. Sending big hugs to both of you!!!! We found a few drink boxes...lol. gotta be yours! they're in the fridge for the time that the rematch happens in snakes and ladders. :-) that was a fun visit! LOL. next time we'll get out the crokanole board...lol. and have a round robin.

Thanks Kathy! it sure sounds like a plan!!! Lizzies back sure is a big problem and not going well at all, she has her ups and down. I dont know how she keeps going but she does. shes been working extensively with the doctor over seeing her mom and he actually had Lizzie help him instead of the nurses, she came home gleaming yesterday that he trusted her more than the nurses. hes a palliative doctor in Sarnia and really good! who knows maybe that could leed to something in the future once her back is fixed.

take care eh!

Its not fun for anybody.
