Now you are just making it sound absolutely irresistible, although ours are mainly cedar and hosta fed with some apple branches thrown in.
I think I could do the shooting it's the cleaning that would be a problem.
BTW they seem to be wearing a heavy fur coat does that mean cold winter?

Good morning!
All the best to the new arrival!!! :)
Good thoughts out to Kathy on weekend of downsizing and Martin who has been spending nights making Red and Blue ribbons for our online Poultry Show.
Foggy and damp here, with some wet stuff coming down intermittently.
Have a safe one!

good morning all. yep downsizing weekend. we'll get 'er done.
farrier cancelled, she has the "flu-or-actually-maybe-something-worse-than-the-flu-can-i-come-trim-nex-week-please-flu"...Hope she feels better soon and doesn't come today! i don't want it!
did reduce a day at work yesterday with the GP. feels like caving, but i really do need to start expending less energy on work, and more on getting me feeling better (or at least not feeling worse). so one day working from home, 3 days in, and another day probably just catching up on the sleep i'm not getting during the nighttimes.

Just a teaser: you guys-TROY is the most awesomest person EVER!!!! it looks like he is/has sped through the submissions for the online show and his comments are amazingly helpful, and i don't think it's going to be too much longer before we post up the results!!!!! HE IS SIMPLY AMAZING!

a little damp and little dreary here.....just started to rain, i better get the dog in before he starts howling....
hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Good morning!! Its another dreary pizzly day, looks like. Mild tho.... but kind of DAMP cold that sucks. Working is NO problem... warm enough, but when you sit here inside... its cold.

Congrats Kathy on the pre-admit appointment! I'm hoping to get up to see you before you have surgery. I'm off next Friday, another P.A day... so maybe........ See if Colleen is up for another road trip. Nice to have company for the trip. Even tho she leads you off the beaten path.... LOL. :hide:

I've been doing quite alot of christmas shopping online. Hate the whole business... but it is what it is. I'd be happiest just to have a family dinner.... but ..... I usually hit the mall and Marks for gift certificates.... but this year, Sawyers' school did the gift card thing for a percentage of the sales. So... no going to those places!! Love it.

Cleaned out the hen house, and encouraged a hen to go outside, when the others flew out the door. I didn't notice her as I shovelled a whole scrapper full of shavings out the door on top of her. Figured she would have moved off. So, kind of shoved her aside with my foot, and continued. She was way over by the other door outside the horse part... and just sitting. Odd. So, I picked her up and she had the yellow yucky looking bum... and wasn't too extremely light, and carried her inside and set her down. She looked perfectly fine on the outside... but when she closed her eyes and kind of went down with her head, I thought.. well, she isn't well at all. I came back 2 minutes later, and she was dead. Poor girl. Hatched in May. And EO too.

Got my bookwork done yesterday. Well, most of it. Been anticipating a call from the accountant. Wonder when hes going to come out. Oh well... lots of days before year end.

I'd better get outside. Someones coming for a couple loads of hay.

Happy Saturday everyone...I don't usually post much here as my life is hardly all that interesting...grey day out there and I have to drop an old dead ash out by the road that is losing limbs so there goes my morning cutting it up and cleaning the mess...awesome photos and comments on the poultry show...maybe next time I'll have something to enter..most of my birds are either too young or in moult so its a sit and watch scenario this time around...
i have to go help my middle daughter and her guy move tomorrow as they bought their first home up in Arnprior, so I need to clean up the truck and make it habitable for MJ to ride in..lol...wonder how many loonies I'll find
The rocks are finally starting to ease off the laying as the moult and short days are taking over...they better do the feather replentishment fast or there's gonna be some chilly birds out there in the coop...I don't think MJ will cotton on to the idea of twelve half feathered rocks in the basement...but as yet they are giving 6-7 eggs per day still and the new crew are starting with the 2/3 size eggs and more every day....the roosters i have left over aren't fighting and I have to get them gone soon, either with the help of the ax or benevolent rehoming...they are nice birds so the latter is preferable, I'm sure
It's nice to have a cozy wood fire going on damp days like this..takes the edge off and trust me, I'll be in here after that damn tree gets done...like i need more to do...
Have a good weekend everybody, and thanks to Jim for picking up the BOSS for me...hope the fishing is fun and fruitful
