I was with Heidi at a chicken swap and her neighbour came up to us and told us about a great horned owl swooping down to grab the cat a couple feet from him, he said the cat struggled for about 20 feet then was done. He said the bird was huge, I never knew they would go after cats. I know when I have my birds outside if they see something big fly over they run for cover.

Here's one of my cockerals watching a small bird fly over, if a bigger bird they run. We have lots of geese fly over, boy do they run for cover when that happens.

The birds of prey are fun to watch. Lately I have seen Ravens with field mice in their beaks flying by.
