A little chicked off!

Post by Skinny rooster » Sun Nov 20, 2016 12:57 pm

Well... so I had this secret plan to start posting about some of the breeds that I have been Googling, and to then start posting pictures because I thought I was going to have some by today. Someone posted hens for sale not too far from me and I contacted them to see if they still had them. They said yes and gave me the info I asked for on the hens and wanted to know if I wanted to buy them. I said yes and since I was off work I could come as soon as they wanted. They said they were very busy and didn't have time until the weekend. I said no problem and I would contact them Friday to see when it was convenient for them. Saturday morning they responded that there was now a bunch people ahead of me and if none of them show I could buy them. I said forget it, I don't want them anymore.

I would have been a %100 sale, we all know when selling on the internet that people ask but never show. I see they are still for sale, I don't want to deal with a person like that. They never said there was a line up for the birds, I would have understood, if they said that at first. I would have come immediately but they were the ones that didn't want to deal with it until the weekend. Maybe I'm being a baby lol. That's my chicken vent.

Ross is right..although, I always have to wonder about sellers...the buyers, or at least the 'can't be straight up about it and just say I'm looking" window shoppers, I get...socially immature folks who for some reason just can't be up front...but the sellers?..wtf?..are you really selling or just jerking people's strings?...asshats as a Georgian friend of mine would say

Kijiji can be good and bad, my husband went to buy a machine and I went with him. We arrived at the meeting spot and the guy never showed or answered his cell. How rude, perhaps this was his way of having fun ticking off people.

Kijji s great as a tool to buy or find . It's the Tool whose selling or buying that's the problem . As in all aspects of life it's the people good or bad . Our problem is to figure which is which . Luck

Kijiji... i have something for sale.. With my phone number listed...call or text me. I get emails with ridiculous half questions: where is it (did you read the ad?); what colour is it; how old is it. I have hupcaps listed in the "free" section; how much u want?
drives me bonkers.... Use the bloody phone!

Selling a pair, will not separate. "How much for just the hen?" Number clearly listed on ad and in seller contact. "Can I call you to arrange pickup, what's your number?" Lots of clear pictures on ad, price clearly listed twice saying price is firm, texts saying "pics?" Or a stupid low ball offer. Or my favourite: "Where are you?" Ad says Frankville but I say so anyway. "Where's that?" In between Smith's Falls and Brockville. " How far from (insert town name is that?" Google it you putz. I've been on the buying end where sellers are morons too, no-shows are the worst because I've wasted gas to get there...but luckily those don't happen as often because people want money. If somebody is selling something that proves to be in demand though, some of them start becoming idiots.

When we moved here i had to get rid of a lot of stuff...always nice to purge i always say..lol..anyway, i had this corner computer work station unit..great condition, no scratches, no broken anything, easily disassembled and transported... Put the ad up in kijiji...got calls and eventually sold it for my asking price but during the process, one caller was a woman, whose heavily accented english made me think she was from south east Asia somewhere..where was I?...North Gower...where is that?..on the south end of the expanded Ottawa, rural location...is that far?, i' m on Alta Vista and need to take the bus...Lady, you can't get this on the bus and anyway, the bus doesn't come out this far...why not?, I thought you were in Ottawa.... Sometimes i am just too polite and I let this drag on too long...anyway..suffice it to say she wasn't the eventual purchaser...lol...some people

I think you are totally right on this Ross, I was too quick in having a pouting fit. I should have just answered ok and left it at that. Mostly because while running around that day, I ended up being very close to where this person lived, so that evening I could have checked in and if they still had the hens, I am sure they would have been happy to sell them to me if people kept not showing up all day. That way I would still have bought the hens I wanted, and then I could have silently thought in my head about what a "tool" they were while happily heading home with my purchases.
