You go barefoot in the barnyard? In November?goatgal35 wrote:QR_BBPOST What a lovely mid November day. If I wore shoes this time of year I'd have never realized how heavy he is :)

Good Morning!
OOOOOKAAAAYYYYYYYY i don't believe this, given the conversation a couple of days ago where i was told that it wasn't looking good for getting me done in december....but i got a call from my surgeon today and my surgery is scheduled for december 19!!!!! OMG.....have to admit i am freaking out a little bit. that's only a month away, and a week before christmas, hopefully i'll be home by christmas (don't know, they said at least a week in the hospital so we'll see). so much to do...so little time! have to reorganize the house so i can reach things, and get the spare bed set up, get work arranged, get my paperwork into HR, bring my family doctor up to speed, get the physio referral to west elgin, out of london, etc etc etc. have to process the rest of the young boys and get those coops cleaned out, get a broody mom into a pen away from roosters that might kill her chicks (she's "due" sunday and still sitting like a trooper). get the chicks from the basement out to their new home, and decide if anyone goes to auction if the weather is okay next weekend.
wow. just wow. um.....can't quite think straight. i know we have to do it, scared to death, but i have the easy job of sleeping through the entire thing....lol. 10-14 hours....potentially over 2 days if there's complications. hopefully not.
preop still needs to be scheduled, and pre-admit....but that should be soon.
so. deep breath.....lol

Good Morning!
Wow, congrats??
That is an awful lots of stuff to achieve, but nothing like working under pressure right? I think?
Glad you got the pictures done before you got the date.
At least the wait is over, now you will not have enough time to contemplate with so much stuff to deal with and 4 weeks to fit it all in.

Kathy...we're in your corner. Take a deep breath...do what you can...and don't sweat the rest. Keep in mind Jesus wasn't born in December (the shepherds aren't out with their flocks in December in the Middle East)... dec 24 as Christmas is just a date chosen by the Catholic church as an attempt to "incorporate" the "pagan" tradition (and the pagan people) of celebrating the winter solstice (shortest day of the year... celebrated three days after the shortest day).
So don't sweat such an arbitrary day. Jesus was likely born sometime in mid summer.
And i'm sure Martin won't let the birds starve.

Yup, I'm one of "those people" I go barefoot whenever and wherever possible. I've been this way my entire life. Once the ground is frozen and there is snow, I'll wear bootsbaronrenfrew wrote:QR_BBPOSTYou go barefoot in the barnyard? In November?goatgal35 wrote:QR_BBPOST What a lovely mid November day.
