Winter Storm Warning!

Post by muffin57 » Thu Nov 17, 2016 8:36 pm

We are under a winter storm warning for Northwestern Ontario. The warning was announced on Tuesday, forecast to start Thursday evening and ending sometime Saturday. We are to expect up to 30cm. Rain begins this evening turning into snow overnight. The roads will not be very good in the morning. Wind gusts tomorrow expected to be up to 50 km/hr. With blowing snow there will be reduced visibility. We are ready to hunker down for the weekend. My husband will be having a long weekend. First snow fall and are we going to get it good. I guess the nice weather we have been having is over. Time to get out the winter boots and coats.

On Sunday we were 17 here and it has been slowly cooling down with a high of 7 today. Saturday night the lows are starting into the double digits. This is a Colorado low hitting us.

:castaway: Really? You blame the cold on Colorado? I thought THEY blamed the cold on us?

If you're going to get it, the rest of us won't be too far behind, ugh. I guess I've been spoiled by the past warm year and forgot that the two previous were quite nasty by this time. Sigh. Stay warm and stay safe!
