I'm so ashamed, I did something I haven't done in years, I may even get booted off poultry talk for this! I..... I.... so hard to admit... sniff.. sniff... I had to buy eggs... from a grocery store! There I said it, I betrayed all the home flock keepers lol, but that's what happens when you sell your birds. Usually no matter what time of year it was, someone was always laying so I haven't had to buy eggs for probably ten years. They weren't that bad actually, they held their shape when fried but a bit lacking in taste I found.

why stop at 3....get 5...then if they lay on average 3 eggs a week each, you can sell a dozen and eat 3 eggs yourself!

Can't you at least buy from someone local for a few days, until you can rush out and get some hens :) Hurry go get chickens.
