As thanksgiving approached, farmer Brown decided it was time to pick out a turkey for the feast. There was a slight problem however as he had very poor vision and in order to find the turkeys he needed to learn over the fence and listen to the noises each pen made.
The turkeys watched in horror as he would check each pen and upon hearing chickens clucking, geese honking or pigs grunting, he would move on to the next pen. Closer and closer he came until finally he arrived at the turkey pen. An old tom motioned everyone to stay quiet, suddenly the old turkey called out loudly, " QUACK, QUACK, QUACK"! Farmer Brown then moved on continuing his search. Giving a sigh of relief, the old tom turned towards the younger birds and said, " see kids, it never hurts to have a second language".
