Well..... I have a lot more than just those 2 little babies. I'm downsizing the whole herd... just keeping my breeding pairs. I have a Tom and 5 Jenny's... they were hatched in February. They are just starting to lay now.

I have 4 Royal youngsters.... they are about 2 months old. Or maybe not quite. Can't tell what they are yet. I haven't seen (or watched them for long enough), to see any do that little premature strut they do, LOL. So cute.

I'm going to ask my blacksmith if he wants the 4 youngsters now... going to text him. I did give him the option of buying them before... but he said he had to put it to the wife... and haven't heard. NOPE.... he doesn't want turkeys this year. They are all beautiful, and will sell at a good price. For the buyer, lol.

You know what I like the most about chickens? They don't care about what breeds are in their group. In one travelling group I have 3 Easter Eggers, one I'm not entirely sure, we'll just call her an EE and a RSL. They are best buds. In the rafters together every night and can be found together all day.
They don't say you're from another mother and treat it less than the next. Feather colour doesn't matter. This one particular group is 4 different hatches.

That saying of 'birds of (the same) feather flock together doesn't fly over here.

My chicken lives matter! (to me hahaha) just saying.

Well now that I got that randomness off my chest ...

Now you have me thinking, I would really like a trio of Royal palms, looks like I might have to figure out a road trip or find someone travelling that way.

Any other turkeys besides Royal Palms available?

I'd be good with that, Jim. I REALLY have to put Mr. Fizzlebeef in the freezer, but I keep putting it off because even in his dotage I still look at him and think "wow, so pretty" LOL. So I'd love some palms to replace him, but the only guy near me who has them was where I got Mr. Fizzlebeef to begin with, and he was dishonest about his age, and likely about his breed too, since he's very oversized. I'd love to let him live out his life, but he'd have to do it alone (he damages hens because he takes soooo long, and is shooting blanks to boot) which isn't fair to him. I just love the colour contrast of the royal palms, so if I could score a replacement that'd be grand. male or female doesn't really matter, but a jake would be a plus. I'm still curious to find out what a mix between a RP and a BBW would look like.

Always room for more. Lol I actually got rid of some turkeys and a few more will be freezer bound soon.

WWL I have seen your red palm post. Very tempting. I am trying to stay with the white, blacks and black and white turkey breeds.
