The ones I've had taste like very weak apple crossed with vegetable marrow. Don't tell or they'll take my citizenship away!

Yes, eggplant has a flavour, and is one of the few things that make me lose my appetite. Blecchh. Maybe a bad option for the super taster test, because I'm not a picky eater but eggplant has a lingering bitter taste to me.
Fall? I'm looking forward to maybe slowing down a bit, but not the cold. It's sweater time for me already! And I hate it, more and more each year.

Eggplant makes me feel very odd maybe because it's one of the solanaceae? I don't eat it any more. Potatoes and tomatoes don't though.

Futter . I was asked today if I had any eggplant and if I would be growing it next year. If the animals will eat it I will, it can replace the Chard (also yucky, you shouldn't have to work hard to make a vegetable taste good) . .but I'm not sure the chickens will eat it, with or without parmesanMaximus wrote:QR_BBPOST My friend gave me a basket of eggplant yesterday.

I like spaghetti squash, I put butter, garlic and Italian seasoning and will eat it like or put spaghetti sauce on it in place of noodles.Maximus wrote:QR_BBPOST Yes eggplant totally has a flavour. Lettuce and a mild nut had a baby and called it eggplant.
I am a picky eater and a picky cook.
I completely agree. Each squash has its own flavour. The only one I'm not crazy
About is speghetti squash. I'll eat it and not complain, I just don't love it like acorn and butternut squash.
