Yes ross, women be like that!!!! for good reason!!!! because you men live life on the edge-mowing too fast, trying to mow over stumps...ya know, stuff like that, tractors, all that stuff....someone has to worry about you guys, because you guys don't! LOL. I am so glad it isn't worse. SO GLAD. I bet donna was/is worried sick. and it won't be until you stop hurting as much that she won't. LOL. THANK YOU DONNA!!!!! Relax today, put some ice on those sore spots....enjoy the birds, hang out with donna. put a goat on the grass. donna-get training up that new wonderful puppy as a husband protector dog!!!!!

woke up to rain this morning! yay! traded some hot peppers for some watermelon jam today. good trade actually had enough huge green peppers to make stuffed peppers for dinner last night, and today's lunch, and tomorrow's lunch!!! so much better home grown.

let the grow out boys out this morning, they sure don't care about the rain. cleaned out the hatcher....more to go in on the 10th. mostly guineas and turkeys of BVF's. better plan a road trip for the 17th shirley! LOL. i candled last night and a lot of the guineas were doing just fine. didn't candle the turkeys....they were way in the back of the incubator. but all the guineas i looked at were at least half full of dark black and of course the second custom chicken hatch for another friend. she came over last night to see the "babies" - 24 hours after hatch, she played with them and by the time she left they were jumping up in her hand and going to sleep these ones will be going to a good home for sure. She wants them sexed, so 6 weeks they'll be headed over to her place probably.

Hump day. yep. and the last day of august! somehow august went fast. school goes back soon....monday is a holiday! yay! that's good because i need to get some things built before it's too far into fall....like turkey pens. etc etc etc of course!
and i need to buy a cocking aid for my crossbow. somehow doubt i can pull that anymore....LOL. i can atv out to where i like to sit to hunt....but....well. we shall see if i get out for deer at all. with the corn up we haven't seen much, but the corn is up, so we CAN'T see much LOL.

QR_BBPOST Thanks All . Norma the deal is not to run across a sloping lawn run up & down In most cases . In my case I was backing up along a pc to turn around to go between row of large walnut trees & hardwood horse corral to go ahead again & back left wheel ran up on large walnut tree base roots which flipped it up & over & my balance & movement are not what used to be I couldn't hold & slide to left & foot stuck down on gas peddle so over she went . Might a been better if goin slower too . Be careful out there . Luck

Had to put in a new septic system last year and they built up a pretty high hill for the field.
Lots of fun cutting the weeds down with the lawn tractor (not) but I try not to get silly and treat the tractor
Like a fighter jet lol, like I did with my C 150 , now how silly was that hehe. Yep, getting old means
Focusing on trying to stay around to grow older, but I still get in some adventures :) though pretty

Not entirely certain, but a tornado or something close to it may have come through our property yesterday evening. Neighbour called while we were out to say that a crazy wind had blown through. Couldn't see our house from his, 200 yards away due to all the dust flying. Then saw the entire roof structure of our mare/foal field run in, blow off and take out sections of 2 paddock fences. Raced home to see if the horses were ok and if they could escape through the damaged fences. Thankfully no injuries and no escapees. Found our small coverall mangled and half a tree split off and hung up on another tree- over top of my car. With the generous help of some friends, we got one fence post and 6 boards replaced so that the mares/foals could stay in their field. The roof structure is in the next paddock over so we evacuated the horses in there to our back exercise track field. Lots of clean up and repair to get on now. The coverall is what amazes me. Sitting between our barn and chicken coop with maybe 15' between on either side, and it was destroyed with zero damage to the coop or barn. Going to book off work this afternoon to get at repairs and clean up..... Hope everyone else has a good one.

Very lucky nobody got hurt. Had a microburst in Orillia one time and it was very scary and fast. It trashed Crates Maria just across the bay.

Glad all the horses and people are okay dean!! We have had downdracts and straight winds...just as scary as tornadoes!!! Stuff can be fixed....take lots of photos for insurance if you need to go through them for repairs....
Okay guys. Thats 2 close calls with pto members. I am going to count sandy's wasp stung duck as number 3.

Morning all, this is what I woke to this morning...dog chased them right out of our shop...ran them all the way to the woods. Thank goodness the dork came back unscathed, honestly thought he would be a goner. I started up the 4 wheeler to go get him. He was already back and I put him in the house and went outside to count ducks and chickens and the little s were back in the field behind the house again.
