Drake, Ava and I were sitting on the deck after our walk last evening and I was soaking in the scenery. I'm so fortunate to live where I live and I'm reminded of this every day when I am outside. Most people have to go on weekend holidays, or to a cottage to have what I, and others, are so very fortunate to call home.
Then a hawk came in for a late dinner and the peace and quiet went to. But the rooster did his job and everyone was safe. Late for bed by the time they all came out from hiding, but safe. That's what's important. :flight attendend:

That's a mulberry tree that has grown out of character and more than double in size this summer. I have trimmed it back twice. The chickens hang Under it most days. I figure chicken is contributing to the growth lol!

The rain has totally restored my grass back from straw yellow to lush green again. The heat and drought have stressed out a few of my plants but overall OK.
Your right Sandy am so fortunate and blessed to live where I do, even though on a busier road than I would like, it's nothing compared to going into Cambridge with all the noise, traffic, sirens and rude people. As hubby says "this is our cottage" !!

Ditto what hubs said! My cottage life! Glad your grass has made a recovery. I too have stressed plants and a few shrubs but they'll hopefully be ok. I do worry about them getting through the winter being stressed. Will have to see.
My grass is not fully recovered but I also put down some sod and side and front of house that was clearly a mistake. That did not survive. Deader than dead.
I need much more rain for a recovery on other areas but I'm not sure if it will come back. We'll see.
