Pasture raised poultry...

Post by Doug The Chickenman » Thu Aug 11, 2016 10:36 pm

At the poultry talk the end of July there was a guy from Great Britain who was doing something similar. And he was very interested in how many of us had tractors and how well we were doing everything. He is getting chicks every 3 months from March until Sept and also has layers in a tractor as well.
it was interesting talking to him.

It is certainly a benefit to be serving the Ottawa Market. Some garden market folks don't bother with the Ottawa Valley farmers markets and instead send everything they have to Carp because they can command double the price.

There was a bit on TV about the farm end of June or beginning of July, so the picture must be from that time.
Last of the green grass anybody saw around here anyway.

This is the one.
It was put together on the Tuesday as they were directed to and given on Thursday night in response to the ILT outbreak in SDG township.
They would have liked more than the 3 hours they had but were told to have it done by Friday.
For the entire 3 hours they went through the 165 slides on poultry keeping.
I am trying to get a copy of it to put up here.
There was so much more to cover.
