Whew, so many potential nasty scenarios there. I am glad it wasn't worse!

The moral of the story: mount a fire extinguisher on your tractor! And in your car is not a bad idea either!

And the battery on your smoke detectors.

Morning y'all

Firstly, I'd like to mention that this 12 year old, Finnegan, from the Dundas area is such a tragic loss. With the hush hush about the details I'm worried it's all wrapped up in foul play. RIP little dude.

New duckling has been accepted into the Muscovy duckling pack. My female had him at the feeder and drinking first thing this morning. He sure is a little dude and a fuzzy butt. So cute. So now I'm looking for a few more of these Swedish. So far it's been a challenge.

Loving these cool mornings, but I see that will be short lived. Ugh! I'm so ready for late fall and winter.

My sister is arriving in a week from Nanaimo BC with my nieces and the humidity is always hard for them. They get quite warm on the island but don't deal with Ontarios humidity, if at all out there. Family reunion in Brockville, a trip to Quebec to look at universities then down this way the following week to spend a few days with Auntie Sandy. We will hit the quarry for swimming out near Fort Erie, do the beach here and the drive in. Fun times!!

I lost the battle with the Brussel sprouts while I was down and out for almost 2 weeks. Just couldn't stay on top of it. This morning I'll be moving what's left to the compost pile. Also cleaning out all the hanging baskets and planters I lost, into the compost pile.

Went to the movies yesterday afternoon, Jason Bourne. Managed to grab a quick nap during the flick. That's my review. a friends daughter loves Ava so she babysits while I'm gone out for extended periods and I pay her like she's a human babysitter. She thinks it's the neatest thing. My friend gets an exhausted daughter at the end of it and I get an exhausted pup at the end of the day. Win win!

Speaking of Ava, she's stirring from her morning nap which is my cue to get going. Have a great day everyone!!!

I am with you there Sandy. The Bourne flick was flat. Reminds me of the old Kung Fu Tv show. Guy wanders into town, beats up a few folks, then leaves town.

Even the Star Trek flick was flat: lots of action but no character development.

Yup, sucked kahonas for sure!! Next on my list is Suicide Squad.

Oh and girl on the train is coming out later this year. Such a good book, definitely will be dragging a few friends with me to see it.

Best thing i've seen in a while: the Preacher series on tv. Twisted and awesome! Suicide squad looks promising!
