Ah, christmas eve. what is on tap here? My hubby has to work this morning. yep, the college is open until noon! I bet the classes are almost empty....i don't get why the college does that....ah well. any wee little shopping is done, the house is an absolute disaster for company tomorrow and today since it's so nice i'm going to spend the day cleaning out the coops and not the house. it is what it is. LOL. i need to go let the birds out, they will absolutely love being out today, nice warm sun, they can get out of the wind....
so much to do....need to clean up the paddock around the hay feeder too...i swear it goes in one end and out the other and they don't even move.
both of us are battling colds at the moment...not sure where they came from, but they can leave. NOW. unwelcome guests.
we broke temp records here every day for the last 3 days apparently. i think it's time to let the fire go out, and open the windows!
hope everyone has a fantastic day!!!

Put the youngsters in the garage out to the barn, this warm weather will make the transition easier for them but they are still hiding poor babies, lots of hiding places for them, I feel sorry for them but it's time to grow and scratch and play.

Good evening now everyone. Got all the pens in the barn cleaned today. All new shavings, clean wateres and food all topped up. Swept up the floor, it looks absolutely amazing up there now! Next up is the layer coop, maybe tomorrow, or saturday. I actually got 2 dozen eggs today!!!! Hopefully that will keep going now that the days are getting longer. Now i have to get the house cleaned for company tomorrow lol. Or maybe i will just leave it, and they can deal...and if they say anything i will put them to work. :rofl1:

Dinner menu for tomorrow....chicken eithe on rotisseire or stuffed in oven....one of those crappy meat birds i raised a while ago. And pasta salad, roasted home grown potatoes, home grown carrots and beans, and fresh baked bread rolls. Yum.

I hope everyone has a great christmas! :cow: (i just wanted to use the cow...i love the ears)
