Yep, been loading up the bin and breaking up the old barn this morning. taking a break for lunch and cooling down, but thankfully there's a bit of cloud now, cuts the direct sun which is nice. back to it after lunch. once i'm sweaty and soaked, may as well stay that way LOL. do the laundry once. drink lots, stay hydrated, and carry on ;-P

I have the sticky pads to put on the hats for deer flies. Not a single deer fly stuck on it but more mosquitos than I can count and the deer flies swarm my head and hair. I must look like some crazy woman with hands flying everywhere and just losing It on the way to the mailbox. I'd rather be fighting off dinasaurs than these damn deer flies.

Mosquito repellent (homemade) I have perfected! Currently I do not have one mosquito bite on me and if you knew where I lived and the amount I have, that's pretty darn impressive. These deer flies on the other hand I have yet to sort.

Ugh, how many sleeps till snow?

Oh and get this. I've had to take up taking an umbrella with me to lock up the flock at night. Why you ask? Because the bats have taken to swarming me as I leave my deck.

Welcome to my jungle.

you've got fun and games, learn to live like an animal in a jungle weary way. LOL.

yup im an arm flaler myself and I know i live in my own little world but its okay, they know me here. ;-)

I should get me some of those sticky pads! whats your homemade bugspray? we tried a few concoctions a few years back but it was crazy expensive and not very effective, we smelled great though! lol. and now we have a whole box of essential oils.

I really wonder how in the past, especially how the Native Americans delt with these blood suckers?
