nice to meet you all
Hi everyone. My name is Sue. I live in Renfrew county. I'm looking to get into Standard Cochins and am on the search for birds if anyone knows of any. Sure is hard to stay focused on a certain breed as I search! I want them ALL!! Lol. Tell me about yourselves. I'm looking forward to getting to know you. I have a small flock presently. They are bantam splash Cochin chicks along with one partridge standard chick. Unsexed as of yet. I have horses, dogs and cats. I work part-time but get to hang out with my fur/feather babies for the most part. Always looking for advise and ideas. So let me tap into your vast wisdom please:). I would love to hear about your favorite breeds.

Good day eh! I don't have cochins but my uncles bantams still haunt my childhood dreams. Like a bunch of fluffy clouds. That was in Germany late 1980's.
Favorite breeds: there's a thread that if you had only one breed what would it be http://poultrytalkontario.net/forum/vie ... =17&t=1511
Good luck!

Welcome!! I don't have any of those birds, but I do have various other heritage chicken breeds/turkeys/guinea fowl.
We farm here full time, but have off farm jobs. Cash crops 400 acres, and beef cow/calf/finish. I have a big garden, and put alot of pickling down as well as freeze veggies.
Have 5 kids. 2 are growing grand children... the one is in the warming stage. Due any day! 3 others have grands. Its fun.
Have 3 useless horses, but they are the best horses, kind of hanging out until Daughter is done birthing, and back in shape. Various barn cats (3).. aged... and a house cat. Fish.... rabbits...dog.
Tell us more about you!! What other fur babies do you have!
