No, but that's a good idea!! Wearing safety glasses that is. Lol. I don't wear safety glasses.Killerbunny wrote:QR_BBPOST Have you tried putting a dot or scotch tape on your safety glasses? Just enough to blur one eye if you're shooting both eyes open.

Sandy-remember to check the regulations-in my area we are not allowed to shoot (even to practice) any caliber bugger than .270...i think its .285...so no point in my buying anything bigger than 270 because i cant legally practice lol and i refuse to pay range fees cause i am cheap...lol

Good Morning!
iv never read regulations that say you cant shoot a caliber bigger than a 275 other than for hunting. did something change? can you show me that? must be a bylaw? iv been looking and can't find anything... but of course bylaws can add any laws they want... such as not being allowrd to own pheasants.

Good Morning!
Good morning,
Looks like a perfect day for a lunch on a patio in a local pub, about 1 month later then usual, but finally here. :)
Tomatoes blooming, hope we actually see some tomatoes this year, remember one year they started to ripen in September.
Had a flower show at our Garden Club last night, makes one want to throw in the shovel.
Gave a lovely summer day!

Good Morning!
I checked with RCMP and Natural resources(?) and we don't have any regulations except Sunday's. But I'll def check again. I'm also good with range fees. Plan on being there anyways.WLLady wrote:QR_BBPOST Sandy-remember to check the regulations-in my area we are not allowed to shoot (even to practice) any caliber bugger than .270...i think its .285...so no point in my buying anything bigger than 270 because i cant legally practice lol and i refuse to pay range fees cause i am cheap...lol

Good Morning!
It's on page 79 of the 2016 regs Al, no caliber larger than .275.....yes, restricted areas.....but i'm in those. and our municipal bylaw says no shooting of firearms not used for hunting in our area....West Elgin/Elgin county....
this is the clip copied off page 79
fun fun.
good morning everyone! i hope it rains! we NEED it! the poor guy cutting grass at the hospital this morning was surrounded in a dust storm from the mower!
well, got a time frame from the surgeon, had a not bad appointment this morning (more in the DDD thread will come). not looking forward to it, but we'll get through it, because well, we will get through it. at least now there's a plan and time frame. yay!
onwards to the day job, miles to go, and then hopefully some planning will begin tonight! yay! and i am now much more hopeful that we may make the piknik!
have a great day everyone!

Good Morning!
ahh i figured there was a municipal bylaw in effect. ya I knew about the hunting regs. just making sure nothing has changed. usually when laws change its up to the individual to find it out for themselves.
I hope everything works out for you Kathy!
