LOL Its a conference... we use to homeschool. know all about it HAHAHA actually since they went back to school its more of a common occurrence. especially with the stupid common core math. this has happened more than once... one of my kids gets the right awnser by doing real math but gets it wrong because they didnt do it the dumb way. extremely frustrating!

Al, I was there with Josh. We homeschooled for many years as well. This math crap is going to make the school system even worse. (Who knew that was possible) I wouldn't back down until they acknowledged his method was right and accepted and his mark corrected. Conformity has never been my strong point and I definitely didn't teach it to my children.thegawd wrote:QR_BBPOST LOL Its a conference... we use to homeschool. know all about it HAHAHA actually since they went back to school its more of a common occurrence. especially with the stupid common core math. this has happened more than once... one of my kids gets the right awnser by doing real math but gets it wrong because they didnt do it the dumb way. extremely frustrating!
One more semester, because he's in co-op the first term, then graduating. I can't wait!

Hasn't changed was same way when I was in school waaaaay back then . More marks for how you got there than for right answer , so they always gave me one mark over failure so I would pass thru . Luck , life never changes just different players .

Yup. I had a huge argument in college with an "Electronics Professor" I was using pure mathematics because it was easier. Nope... you have to do it this way... and get the same answer???
My argument was the medium could be milk or basket balls the math still works. I was wrong.... to speak out.

I vote conference lol (that may be because in guilty of these conversations). I really really miss homeschooling our children, it's amazing to find the best way to help them understand something and watch those light bulb moments.
