Due to not being in great shape for a road trip yesterday, my son offered to drive us to Clinton. First fair of the year(our neck of the woods). We first checked out the chickens. Fun to watch the table top judging of Seramas. They just naturally pose with chest out and tails held high. Also enjoyed a sproinger. This Serama hen faced another through the cage bars, and sproinged up and down. She moved nothing else, just straight up and straight down for a couple of inches. Next was the craft area to look at quilts and little kids flower in a tin can display ,plus other neat crafts. Next up was a sheep shearer, shearing sheep display. Also had a cow show and a few antique tractors.
After one more look at the chickens, we drove too Stratford to buy chocolate at Rheo Thompsons. From there a side trip to the Restore. I bought two large stainless steel dog crates for $15.00 each while my son was in the back buying another for $10.00.
Also picked up a piece of maple for $8.00. Did not need it, but it felt good and someday will make something. Visited are parents graves ,went for supper at a favourite restaurant, and drove home. Great day was had by an old couple and their escort (son).

One more item off the bucket list; the first fair of the season.
