Muuust hatch eggs.

Lol, that's true OC the old saying never count your chickens before they hatch. I know the people who brought them and there has never been complaints against them. I usually don't buy hatching eggs but for the price I paid it's not a big loss if nothing hatches. Trust me I learned over time the problems that come with buying eggs, that's why I never bid above ten. The truth is the sale dragged on and on and on, most people left and I got lucky (hopefully).

Muuust hatch eggs.

Years ago my Daughter wanted one big buff Orpington hen to add to our backyard flock. We were at an auction and bought 1 dozen Orpington eggs for $1.50. There wasn't a color written on the carton, just said Orps. Well 11 BBS orps hatched from that dozen eggs and I still raise and show that line and they do well. I have added new blood and work to improve over the years, but that dozen "cheap" eggs was well worth it :) My Daughter never did get her Buff Orpinton
Good Luck with your hatch.

Ok I will keep you updated. I am a little excited as tonight is day four of incubation, I should be able to clearly tell weather the lighter eggs are fertile and probably the darker ones as well. The barred rock eggs are a really nice brown, plus good big eggs. I will give my results later. Pictures will be a little tricky for me but I will try.

Ok drum roll please, the results are in and the numbers are as follows. Out of 19 Jersey Giant eggs, 16 have embryos inside. Out of 13 Barred Rock eggs, 12 have embryos inside and out of 4 Wyandott eggs, all 4 have embryos growing inside. Two eggs had weak looking embryos inside so I checked again last night and they are better developed now. This takes the pressure off of the breeder now anything that goes wrong will be my fault.
