What a great-looking rooster, Silkie Sue! I like everyone's suggestions for a name. Here's my contribution: How about "Vegas"?

RIP Scooby, AKA Awesome Dog. Too well loved to ever be forgotten. "Sometime in June", 2005 - January 24, 2017.

Lessons learned from buying hatching eggs at sales.
Purchased 2 dozen mixed eggs from a sketchy lookin place that was reasonably priced and 6 of the 24 eggs were fertile.
Bought a dozen EO eggs and paid a little more for them and 11 of 12 were fertile
A dozen Cochin eggs 2 of 12 fertile... Seemed like an okay place to buy but maybe the chickens were to fluffy and needed some plucking.
A dozen turkey eggs 7 of 12 fertile... Might not be too far off for this year
The lesson learned here was know who you are buying from, and sometimes a little extra upfront costs save you money in the long run.

Always buyer beware at any sale even private . If you've done your due diligence & have rapour with a known buyer u should be ok . Learn to candle for your own use . Buying a pig in a poke is still a pig in a poke . . Luck all
