Re: Good Morning!
I hear you. Putting coffee on in the morning is usually hubby's domain, but since he's convalescing, I've been the one to make it. His tastes better.
We got a smattering of snow here overnight., just enough to dust the roof, raised beds and driveway. Nothing on the grass after it got light out.
Looks like a nice crisp day today, sunny with cloudy periods - this morning anyway.

Re: Good Morning!
good morning everyone!
well, i am batting 1000 today.....i forgot to turn the water off in the barn last night. woke up like a shot at 6am....with a blue streak of words that are definitely censored on the board. Ran outside to find out....and phew everything was just fine! yay! i had plugged in the heated hose, so even at -3 in the barn the handle, hose and everything were okay. oh my goodness i am a dolt sometimes. i even KNEW it was going to -6 last night. i have to stop doing that. geez.
had to put down my original black gold ameraucana hen last night. she was so cold and her comb was purple...i could feel her heart beat wasn't right. she snuggled down in my jacket...didn't fight or anything. so sad. she was one of the original founders of my line, and has been a wonderful broody mom for 5 years-laid eggs right up to about a month ago. hate when the old favorites finally go.
today was supposed to be processing day, but its cold enough outside i don't want the hose going and freezing in the driveway. tomorrow is supposed to warm up again, so i'll probably do tomorrow. maybe today i'll find my winter hunting gear and see what i see in the bush later on. till then, breakfast time....running a tad late this morning. and i know my husband is working on some special treats for the board for christmas i can't wait to see what they are!!!!
Happy birthday to windwalkingwolf!!!!!
hope everyone has a great day.

Re: Good Morning!
Good day!! Its snowing here.... sticking on the ground.. but not the roads... well, OK on the roads up here, in town, nothing. Did chores up early. Bedded the "L" after throwing down about 15 small squares. Then bedded an empty pen, that the young cattle will be allowed into tonite. Let them outside to start eating, and then threw down loose straw for Gary to spread. Cows were done also. I did them last night too.. so they are nice and dry. Nice, when the wind is blowing... and everyone is snug. Birds were done up good night before, so didn't need much.
Then went to the bank.. and picked up some stuff at the bulk store. Gary went to get the tree, and nice tree the deer had rubbed something fierce... so its future was nil.... and got some lights on two windows. 2 windows to go... then the tree. Vacuum this hell hole, and vacuum again. The kitchen floor may as well be the barn floor. I think it tho, is cleaner. I swept the silage in after I bedded, we feed abit of that inside too... so the smaller calves don't have to compete.
Dogs (son was in with his dog... and then left him here, when he took the trailer full of scrap somewhere)... and snow/mud.... boots/shoes.. just plain farm traffic. I abhor housework.
I still have this cold, my ears are still plugged... and I am NOT looking forward to hauling down decorations, and then hauling them back upstairs on the 27th. At least the tree shouldn't lose too many needles, being put up just today.
Bah, humbug.
