YEP! July 23 at WWW's place. I'll post an announcement sometime later today when i get my act together. LOL. my hubby and i will be coming up from West Lorne area. We may be on our way through to quebec (or on the way back from quebec-unsure at the moment). but once we make up our minds we can probably serve to carpool some folks somewhere...

I just had to laugh, I mentioned the date and place had been decided and my step son quipped "I wouldn't want to go there, just a crazy bunch of people trying to pick up chicks!"
Sounds like like my kind of folks lol!

Hey folks, we hada thread a month back about having a shooting contest for an activity (pellet guns) for kids and adults. WWW agreed it was a good idea, and I offered to run it.
i can round up two guns, maybe more. We'll stick with long rifle style, pellet pistols can get out of control real fast. I'll sponsor a kids prize... Will we have many children?

Diligently follow the path of two swords as one. Percieve that which the eye cannot see. Seek the truth in all things. Do not engage in useless activity.

I can offer up my husband Warren to help with the shooting activity - he's a qualified range officer. Might also be able to source supplies for the shoot as well.....let me know how we can help out. We've also got some archery gear if people want to try that out as well. :)

I wonder if we should start a new thread for organizing activities, food planning etc.? I'm pretty excited for this, time to get the ball rolling! Maybe first a head count list of everybody that's reasonably sure they're coming, including spouses, friends, designated driver, offspring under 19, and family pets :D
You're welcome to bring Fido and Fifi, if you don't mind keeping them leashed when outside at least until they've settled--there will be kids, livestock, other pets, and interesting smells, and will try the mettle of even the best behaved dog.

What time will this start? I am thinking of heading out early Saturday morning, sleeping over and heading home Sunday morning. Is that what most folk will be doing? Are we potlucking one big meal (supper) Saturday evening and looking after ourselves for all other meals or will we be potlucking Saturday lunch and Sunday breakfast as well? This is gonna be so awesome :)

I have made a sticky post that should be at the top of around the waterer for the organizational bits.
