Corid anyone?

Great, thanks for the replies :) I was hoping to get it within the next 24 hrs, but I'm thinking online may be my only option as no vets in my area have a clue what Corid is. Dang , those Americans are lucky to have quick access to it.

Corid anyone?

Is Corid the same as Amprol? Or do they just get used for similar things? Or am I totally off base? Everything should be called the same thing regardless of it's border relation lol!

if you are using corid for coccidiosis treatment just get "amprol"-you can get that at your feed store (it's used commonly for cows)....the dosing is on the bottle, put it in their water, you'll need to treat for a week, then off for a bit and then treat again for a week. I think "corid" brand name actually IS amprolium.....but here i find it's sold (and known) under amprol better....

Super! I'll check that out for sure. It's silly, but I'm baffled as to why TSC hires people that have zero clue about the products they sell. I spoke with three staff members that have never heard of coccidia so, of course, they couldn't help me lol. I lost my 4 week old chick to what I'm pretty sure was coccidiosis, and now my other adult bird is acting off. Not sure what to think:(

you will smell coccidiosis...it's rank.....and amprol is a very common cattle drug, so feed stores will have it for sure. you may need to buy a bigger container than you'd need, but at least you'll have it forever. store it cool and dark (not in the fridge-just put it in your basement or something) don't freeze it, it will last a good long time. Just like ivomec, as long as you don't freeze pour on, it lasts for at least a couple of years.

So I went to TSC and they don't have anything there for treating cocci in any type of animal. Needless to say, me and TSC are not friends right now lol, they just don't know it yet. So then I called Grand Valley Fortifiers and the guy said I'm SOL:( Said they can only get it in mass amounts and quoted me $630. Yup. I don't need it at the moment, but I feel like it's a smart thing to have on hand just in case. BTW, I live near Woodstock Ontario so this may be why it's hard to find.
