NEW Nesting boxes a SUCCESS
I finally got the new nest boxes installed.
Took my ALL day, but it was worth the effort.
I needed 4 boxes, but I may change the coop layout.
Decided to make 2 separate boxes with 2 nests each.
The back of the nest box has a trap door to remove the eggs.
I will do this without having to enter the coop.
"Chicken Chick" on FB uses curtains, so I decided to try it.
I made the measurements to fit the $1 store plastic trays.
Today I went in & there was eggs in Every single nest ~ Yipppeee

Very Nice! i really like them a lot. and those gravity held spin locks work awesome eh! thats what I use on my big brooder. I also like how they dont take up any coop room and the birds cant stand on them.
Great Job

Great Job

Very nice Poultryprincess! Great job. I really like them and we need more room in our coop, so I'm going to share this with my husband.

THANX for the great feedback!!!
Build them all by myself....so I think they are "Perfect" ~ LOL
I wasn't crazy about the fabric choice either "ross"
I sew alot ( quilting, placemats, dog coats etc ) & I didn't want to use anything Nice for "Chicken Curtains" (*o*)
But I thought the Red curtains really kicked things up a notch when matched with the Lime Green egg bins - hee hee hee
