Good Morning!
So what does it mean here when theres a flock of arctic turns in my south field and a snowsquall advisory? Lol. We have filled up the firewood beside the woodstove. Everyone has warm water....food....last night nuked what what left of my crocuses. My daffodils are looking awful...the day lily tops are totally burnt and i dont think my tilips will make it...sigh. it was -12 here last night apparently.
Just put in a few t posts to rehang the garden fence because the dog is getting in again-stalking the asparagus bed....and the wind is brutally cold. From the south! Might be a good day to clean up the one shed i have been meaning to get cleaned up for about a year now....hm. hibernating sounds better though. Lol
have a great day everyone! Stay warm

Good Morning!
Hatch finished on Saturday. Welcome to the world........ 25 Euskal Oiloas yellow fuzzy butts!!!
8 did not hatch out of the 33 that made it to lock down, they were all moving when I candled at lock down. Not sure why they did not hatch?? I am extremely pleased considering they went through a 6 hour power loss in the incubator with only the heat from the wood stove keeping them warm. I have one with a curled foot, taped it, one with a splayed leg, have that braced and one walking on it's elbows, have that braced as well. Hoping I don't have to cull any...........
Love the first picture, typical EO, curious and nosy!! LOL

Good Morning!
Geez, nice snowfall! NOT. Its coming our way, I hear. We just finished splitting and stacking abit more wood. After chores. I just had a huge bowl of HOT chili.. I put a few more of those Candied Jalapeno's in it, then I should have, but the heat felt good!! And, it was made two days ago, so its superb today!! I had a nice buttered ciabatta bun, those smaller ones to go with it. Hit the spot. Now a nice hot cup of coffee.... and if the woodstove was on, I would curl up with that coffee, and read a book. The chimney liner needs a brushing..... so much smoke was coming in the house, when we would open the doors. Maybe I will go over to Son Daves... his is on... and they are currently AT the blue jay's game.
Sawyers first train ride down, and they are sitting on the 3rd baseline... second row halfway between third base, and the outfield ball... whatever that means. They got there pretty early. I wonder how long Sawyer will sit still. Probably not long, that kid RUNS everywhere he goes around here, and does not stop.
Gary will be out sometime, once the snow starts. I can't believe that its going to go from THIS freaking COLD outside.... you simply cannot work without gloves.... it was -6C well into the mid morning... where WLLady was at 1C. Or -1C. Can't remember, lol. With that wind, its hellacious. I started to say... its going to be what... 8C in the morning, with rain??
Stupid ignorant weather. My crocus's were beautiful. ALOTS weren't even out yet, to prolong the show. They are all now a wilted mess. My tulips are all transparent/wet/frozen laying on the ground. If the head is above the ground, they are toast I imagine. Sheesh.
Although, on the other end... I am GLAD it turned cold when it did, and didn't stay WARM, and bring out all the fragile fruit tree blossoms.... THEN freeze to this extent, because then there wouldn't be much fruit this summer/fall.
