Do people think we need the facebook PTO page anymore? we are attracting some people to sign into the board from facebook....but I'm thinking about closing the page (or at least making someone else in charge of it). We aren't collectively doing much with the page except referring folks to the forum....thoughts?
I vote you let the Facebook PTO page go too.
I broke down and registered on Facebook in order to join the FB PTO page, because at the time PTO wasn't a "for sure" thing yet. I had checked in there a few times, but just after PTO launched I haven't been back.

Very territorial, there are people who died under mysterious circumstances and now its been proven from owl attacks. Silent, at night, claws hit you in the back of the head. From the article, "The literature is filled with people being attacked by owls if they are wearing fur (like raccoon or muskrat) on their heads.

The joke in wildlife management is that “owls don’t care if their squirrels are human.”

Even some outrageous theories may hold a kennel of truth. Still, it is merely a theory, without proof to the courts."

YEARS ago... when my now 33 year old son was just 5 years old... we were walking home from the bush at dusk. We were coming from the bush, into the middle field... which headed upwards. All of a sudden, a huge shadow, and the wind from it scuffed my hair. I didn't even hear a thing!!!!!!!!! It flew up into the tree tops... and then came around as to go behind us again. I was so scared. I had already a hold of his hand, and we booked it as fast as we could into the tree'd laneway ahead of us. I have NO idea if this owl was going to attack... or what it was up to. I have never forgotten this.

Well its a pg way of saying.... and not everyone will understand what I said and think its auto correct.

BUT I hear that song every summer at every dance out at camp. HAHA yup for as long as I can remember "everybody everwhere can honk on bobo if a bobo honks on you!"

morning, rainy one here in central eastern Pa. Lots to get caught up on today, have to vaccinate and tag second calf born late yesterday, take a tractor starter to be repaired, pickup load of hay to deliver if the weather clears...and then the usual feeding, scraping out and bedding....everywhere. Have 4 unused roos in a wired movable pen behind the pole shed and somehow they got out yesterday....caught them again last evening while they roosted on the mini barn coop and stuck them in an empty rabbit hutch overnight.....have to see how they got out and move them to greener spot....oh and adding the required "proof" of hatch SandyM, lol!

Morning,

A lot of snow arrived last night. Lou & JT have been out since 10pm doing snow removal. When they get home I have a feeling they'll crash big time. All nighters are getting harder on the old man. :racer:

Do baby chicks ever sleep? These little ones are in my master bath shower stall (that I don't use, too many bathrooms to clean) and they chirp and play all night. They have a white heat lamp, would a red one settle them down a little bit? They have started flying around and racing. Sooooo cute!

Anyone else forgot to write the date down when their broody sat on eggs? Well technically I did log it on my phone, but I updated my phone and the update removed all my notes that I hadn't backed up yet. Sooo...I have eggs due. Sometime in April. Ugh!

I'm picking up 25 week old Ameraucana chicks on Friday. I'm raising some until they are 6-8 weeks old and someone I know wants a few. Plus I'm sure the odds will fall to more cockerels, cause that's how my luck works, so I'm over shooting my end goals for pullets.

Finishing up coffee then heading out to shovel snow. On April 4th. Have a good one!

Cheers,

Sandy
