I think you have the humidity way too high, there should be no condensation on the glass at all, I would take out the wet towels, you will drown your chicks before they hatch.

I ran down and took out the wet cloth. I was going down every couple of hours to see if condensation went off windows. It had me very concerned
I just hope I corrected it in time. Hatch day is Tueday
OMG I am on pins and needles here!!!
I did quickly candle three and they are still moving. Soooooo. Tuesday is a long away. Lol

Can anyone verify for me whether there should or should not be condensation in observation window at day 18 and 19?
I know all incubators are different but is this too much humidity too soon?

LOL Its Okay I think all significant others worry about us when it comes to our birds! just by opening the lid once you let the excess humidity out so im sure you will be all right and that they were not hurt. iv never used those incubators, before (just the ones I built) so I really didnt know if they would build up condensation on the glass or not. im glad Kenya spoke up!

Edit... maybe open it and wipe the condensation off with a towel. i dont think water droplets should form. and then just leave it closed.

Forgot to mention about air cells
Some looked ideal on day 18 others were just the top of the large end -down about as far as a quarter would fit into if the shell was opened up (is that a clear explanation). These ones were perfectly round. Whereas the others were lower on one "side" of the egg and larger overall

the ones lower on one side is from turning and is perfectly normal. I swear it moves a bit but i dont know LOL.

I'm going down to my chicken coop right now and have a chat with my little banty hen and find out what the secret is once and for all. She has it all figured out. I'll keep you posted
Also gotta ask her when she will be ready to set. Last year at this time she had chicks!!
