Juno Awards - Burton Cummings

Post by SandyM » Sun Apr 03, 2016 12:23 pm

 Tonight, Mr. Burton Cummings will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. As a life long admirer of his poetry and musical talents I can't help but feel, wow what took so long folks?

He is one of my favourite artists of all times and I'm so glad I got to see him at Cesar's Palace last month. The most impressive display of raw talent I have ever seen. No gimmicks, no distractions like explosions or dancers, just him and his band. OMG! P

I don't have access to Cable/satellite at home, but Lou's son is going to PVR it for me!! Woohoo!!!

Time to go and put some Burton and get these house chores done! Cheers!!

Well that's typically Canadian, he should have been in long ago, it's almost embarrassing that he isn't. He is one of the ground breaking musicians for our pop/rock scene. I just wanted to add that he was waaaaaay before my time. Lol.

I grew up on Burton, Bonnie Rait, Powder Blues Band and so on. I've always been clued in to musical talents from many genres but don't you touch my Eminem, JayZ or 2 Chainz LOL!

He sounds exactly like he's still in his 30's. I was blown away when I saw him last month. Just in awe.
